Ripple Executive Chairman Chris Larsen has offered a stern opinion of the regulatory environment in the United States, to the point where he said that it could push Ripple out of the country. Larsen made the comments during a virtual interview at the LA Blockchain Summit on October 6.
The primary question that is being debated is whether XRP is a security; this has been at the centre of discussions with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
Ripple has said that even if it holds a lot of XRP, the network itself is decentralized, exempting it from securities laws
Larsen said that if Ripple were to relocate out of the US, the UK or Singapore would be likely destinations
Larsen also suggests that a Biden administration would be more favourable towards the US cryptocurrency industry
Ripple filed a lawsuit against YouTube over scams on the platform;which Steve Wozniak is also doing
